Today I
have a little DIY for you. It’s about how to make your own brush guard.
Okay so I
use a brush guard after cleaning my brushes, so the bristles get in form and
the brushes last longer. And this is how you can make the brush guard.
Okay first
you need a piece of cloth, I think the best is when it’s cloth with stretch/
elastic. You can use an old jeans or other old clothes.
You cut out
a piece that is a bit wider than your brush, about half a centimeter to a
centimeter. Lengthwise the cloth should be about 0,5-1 cm over the bristles and
also on the handle.
After that
you put your brush in the middle of the cloth and fold it over. Then you mark the
point on the cloth that is the closest to the brush.
Then you
take a stapler and use it on the point you marked before. After that you test
if it’s too tight or too wide. If it’ too wide put in another staple, but
really close to the first. If it’s too tight you can just remove it. If you don't have a stapler or don't want to use is you can also use needle and thread, which will take a little longer, but will work just as well ;)
This is a
quick and easy way to make a brush guard if the bristles of your brush are bent.
