Pasta With Mushrooms

Hey Guys,

Sorry I haven’t written anything the last few weeks but I have to write some papers I have to hand in, so I didn’t have the time to write but I thought I really have to write something!! And I will try to keep writing more regular with less time in between the posts :D.  So today I will give you a recipe, which I love. It’s pasta with a mushroom sauce. I came up with it when my roomie bought chanterelles, which she wanted to make for her boyfriend or something like that.

Okay so the ingredients I used (for two persons so if you are cooking for yourself you can freeze one portion) :

-        -  Different herbs like rosemary 1,5 branch , thyme 2 or 3, oregano about 1 branch you can also use     others like sage, which is great with mushrooms
-
          - 1 Onion or 2 shallots and 1 or 2 garlic
-
          - Button mushrooms and chanterelles each I guess 150g maybe a bit less or more depending on your hunger
-
          - 6 or 7 Fresh cherry tomatoes
-
           - Some cream or milk to create a sauce
-
           - And some Parma ham or some other ham you like, about 2 or 3 slices
-
       - And of course some oil or butter for frying and the pasta

First of all, heat the oil or butter whatever you use up. When it’s hot add the fine diced onion/shallot and the garlic with 2/3 of the herbs and fry them. Add the ham and after about half a minute add the mushrooms (a little tip: use a big pan for the mushrooms because if it is too small, you will probably cook them in the water they will lose and not fry them). Add the rest of the herbs and the milk or cream, whatever you prefer or mix both. In the meantime don’t forget to cook your pasta!! Add the tomatoes about 2 or 3 minutes before your pasta is done, because if you add them too soon they will fall apart and get super soft, which I don’t like.

At the  end I like to add some parmesan cheese but that is totally optional:D

My pasta is selfmade as you can see on one of the pictures and if you want the rescipe just write me in the comments:D

Have a great day everyone !!!

Little Haul

Hey everyone,

I bought some new make up things I’ld like to show you.

Okay first I’ll show you the products I bought and I’ll give you a review on those I already use for some time now. I will put the prices at the end of the post, provided I still have the receipt :D

The first product I want to present is the Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter from Astor in 005 Pretty Poppy. I wanted a lip product in a poppy colour since I saw a video from Daaruum on Youtube, where she presented the lip’n’cheek in poppy from Kryolan. I really liked the colour but I didn’t buy it because I’m not into buying stuff from the internet (but in the near future I want to buy a few things mostly things you can’t buy in Germany) and I haven’t been to Frankfurt where is a shop that sells Kryolan. But about a week ago I stumbled over it in a DM store and I fell in love with the lipstick and the colour which is a bit orange like :D I really like to use it, it’s not opaque when you apply it the first time but you can layer it and make it more intense that way. It has a really nice colour as you can see in the picture ;) and it makes the lips juicy but not too much and it stays put really nice as long as you don’t eat… or kiss… or do anything else beside talking and breathing :D but I still love it, the texture, the way it feels when you wear it. I can really recommend it as long as you don’t plan to wear it when you want to go out eating ;D

I bought another lip product a few days later that is really close in colour to the poppy lipstick (one of the reason I bought it). It’s the Perfect Stay Gloss in 008 Sexy Coral from Astor. I wore it twice now but I have to say that I don’t really like it. The colour is a bit redder than the lipstick, which I really like and the lips look glossy and juicy BUT the feeling is horrible, at least for me. No matter how thin I apply it, it feels very heavy on the lips and it is really sticky especially when you talk. And it transfers to other thing really easy. From the colour it’s perfect but the feeling is horrible, so I won’t buy any of these again :(

I also bought an eye product from p2. The eye shadow pen eye Q is in a pink colour they call 040 fragolini. It’s a nice creamy texture which makes it easy to apply and is from the colour a great base for a lot EMUs on anyone maybe not on really dark skin tones but that you would have to try. The problem is for me that no matter if I use an eye shadow base or not the eye shadow moves in my crease and that pretty fast. So I sadly have to say I rarely use it, usually only when I know that I won’t be gone for too long.

I also bought an eyebrow pen which was weird because I never used one before and I actually never really thought of it, I didn’t even know that there are products for eyebrows :D I saw that full eyebrows make a huge difference when I saw a few videos from Pixiwoo where they did them.
My pencil is the Eye Brow Stylist from Catrice in 020 Date With Ash-ton. I think it fits my eye brow colour really well but even if it wasn’t it wouldn’t be too bad because my brows are rather full and I just fill in a few tiny gaps I have. So if you have really thin or short eye brows or if they have gaps these pencils come in really handy but there are many other products out there that can help you. If you want to know more about them write me in the comments below and I’ll find out more and tell you :D

I also bought a foundation because the lighter one I have, the one from Canada, is empty and I have to buy a new one but that will take some time because I have to get it over the internet and that can take some time…:( The new foundation is from p2 in 010 natural rose and is called Feel Natural Make Up. I still have a bit of my mixed foundation left so I haven’t tried the new one, but as soon as I’ve tried it I’ll tell you my result :D

Quite a few weeks ago I bought a nail polish, the p2 volume gloss gel look polish in 080 grande dame. I fell in love with the colour but when I read that it’s supposed to have a gel look I wasn’t so sure if I should buy it because I really like my natural nails and don’t really like the acrylic/gel nails. But I still bought it and the colour is amazing!!! It stays on the nails really well, no matter what I do, wash the dishes, replant my plants and the normal everyday life there barely chips anything off and if it that happens it’s a tiny piece. So if you should be looking for a red/pink nail polish try this one ;D

I also bought a heat protection spray for my hair... the first time I bought something like this, because I usually just blow dry my hair and never really thought that it would be necessary. But my blow dryer gets pretty hot and the product was on sale so I thought I should try it and my hair feels a little softer when I use it. So I think it really is helpful. The one I use is Protection Expert 180°C from Franck Provost – Coiffeur de Paris.

I also was at the Body Shop and got a few new things there :D First I got the Leona Lewis Cruelty-Free Collection Blusher Brush. It looks really nice and I like the size, which is perfect for travelling. When I used it for the first time it didn’t move over my skin very well. It felt really sticky on me but after using it a few times for testing it got better and now you can use it really well but I would still only use it for travelling.

The next product I bought was the Eye Shadow Palette in 01 Smokey Copper (LE!). I have only used it once or twice, but it is very obvious that the eye shadows crumbles really easy so when you apply it you have to be very careful. And opening the palette really sucks, because the button to open it is really hard to push down.

Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash and Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner are the last two things I bought. I don’t have them for very long and the wash I don’t use every day so I can give you a not really secure review. The wash smells really nice and feels good when you use it. The peeling parts are not too much, so it doesn’t make your skin raw. I like the toner as well because it really takes off the last bit of make up that I have. At least I think it removes it :D The only thing I don’t like is that my skin feels a bit dry after using the toner. But I will have to use the two a bit longer to really make up my mind.

Okay so that was all I bought in the last time and I hope you found it helpful. Do you have any of the products, if yes do you like them or not and why?

Last but not least  the prices:

-          Soft Sensation Lipcolor Butter 5,85€

-          Eye shadow pen eye Q 2,45€
-          Eye Brow Stylist 2,45€

I hope you all have a great day and enjoy the summer... that means if you have summer time at the moment if not enjoy the winter :D

Makeup yay or nay?

Hey Guys,

Today I want to talk about the discussion that is always going on when one talks about makeup. It’s the discussion makeup or no makeup.

There are people that say never makeup or always. I made the decision for myself to always wear makeup, when I go outside. I don’t need to use all kinds of makeup like, foundation, lipstick, eye shadow, bronzer and so on. I guess you guys know all the makeup :D But I use foundation or at least concealer because I tend to have red spots and unclear skin all the time and usually mascara and sometimes bronzer.

But there are other people who say they don’t like to use makeup and some even say that it is to cover insecurities and so on.

I think there are extremes on both sides. Makeup can make you feel better or can give your self-esteem a boost, but there are some people that in my opinion use way too much makeup for my taste and I think there are some who really use all the makeup to cover something up and others just like to use a lot of makeup that is not natural and very noticeable.

I think you don’t need tons of makeup, but a bit to emphasize your natural amenities can’t hurt and it makes a good impression when you meet other people, no matter if they are friends or people you meet for the first time.

I think everyone has to decide on his own if or if not to use makeup and if you use makeup and how much. What I don’t like about this discussion is when some want to tell others if and how to use makeup. Make up your own mind ;D

What do you guys think?

Have a great day everyone;)

Review to my MAC products from my Prague trip

Hey Ladys,

today I wanted to give you a recipe for finger food, which all my friends and everyone else loves: D They are called ham rolls, and I actually made them last weekend but I forgot my camera and I was in such a hurry to make them that I wouldn’t have had time to take pictures and I think it’s always better to have pictures going along with explanations :D So I will post the recipe and pictures another time, but not too far away because they are great for picnics or as snack along for BBQ :D

Since you don’t get the recipe I have the review on the MAC products for you today, the ones I bought in Prague. And another MAC product I bought just last Saturday but already love:D

To the products from Prague. First the eye shadow ’All That Glitters’, I love it because the colour is really neutral and nude but still recognizable. You can use it as everyday eye shadow so you will just have a tiny bit of colour on your eyes or you can use it as base for smoky eyes with earthy tones or any other design you like. What I also like about that product is that it stays put, it doesn’t move in the eyelid crease like many other eye shadows do:D

Another product I told you about is the Mineralize Concealer in NW20. It has a really nice setting and stays put pretty nice but after some time it goes off a bit and I would like for it to have a bit more coverage. Of course you can layer it which works perfectly, but it doesn’t quite work for me especially around the nose where it always is a bit red and my nose is kind of weird because it always more oily than the rest of my face. The oil makes my foundation and concealer slip faster, which is really annoying …:D

The third product I got in Prague was the Blacktrack Fluidline. I soooooo love it XD It has a great texture and is really easy to apply even if your brush sucks a bit, which mine does but I haven’t found a good one yet. If you know a good one pleeeeease tell me where to find it !!! When you apply the liner the first time it’s not quite opaque but you just have to go over it again after it set for a moment and you don’t have to reload your brush for that. If you don’t let it set for the moment you will just push the product around and it won’t get opaque. Maybe I don’t get it opaque the first time because of my brush but I will look for another brush and find it out :D Once the liner has sat it doesn’t move or transfer to any other place which I love because the one I had before would move after some time which is annoying….  But I have the Blacktrack now and am absolutely happy :D

Last but not least is the product I bought last Saturday in Frankfurt Main on the MAC counter in the huge Douglas. I bought the Studio Finish Concealer in NW20. After only these few days I really  love it and when it’s empty I already know I will rebuy it. Because it has a great coverage and stays perfectly in place, of course it moves a bit after some time when I use it on and around my nose but it really takes quite some time before that happens. No matter how red the blemish is it covers that awesomely :D(is that a word by the way? :P). When I use this product especially when it’s warmer I sometimes don’t even use foundation because I feel so secure that any blemish is covered really nice, so if you should be looking for a good concealer I can really recommend the Studio Finish Concealer by MAC and it comes in so many different coloures that I’m sure everyone will find his or her tone. Oh and I paid 19,50€ for the concealer but  I think it’s worth it’s money

I hope you found this little review helpful and tell me your experiences or if you have any product you can recommend:D

Have a great day everyone
